Ridelabs was a concept that my brothers and I came up with about 5 years ago. I had been hanging out with them and we had been talking about mountain biking… Of course, we all 3 love mountain biking. So we were talking and the subject of what trails to ride came up and we all agreed that it would be super cool to start riding more trails. We had all gotten into a sort of “rut” while riding the same trails all the time.

Anyway, someone suggested that I should do a youtube channel and that it could be a good thing to start documenting the trails that I rode. So I decided to do just that. Only one slight problem, I couldn’t think of a name. I threw around a bunch of ideas and they all seemed lame. We had all been watching Jason aka MTB Yum Yum and I just couldn’t get that name out of my head, so the name ideas were sounding a little too much like Jason’s channel. Then Richard suggested that just adding “labs” to the end of something had worked for a project he had done recently. So I started working on names ending in “labs”. The simple act of riding our bikes on some cool trails and then tacking on the word labs really was what was the source of the name RideLabs.

I’m a Christian , a husband, a father, a software developer, a leader and a mountain bike rider. I’m Eric with Ridelabs and I hope to see you on the trail!
